Javier Palomarez, President of the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), was fired the night of February 11 by the Board of Directors of the organization.
The news was disclosed to Impacto Latino by people close to the board but not authorized to discuss the matter publicly, but assures us that the process to dismiss Palomarez went thru several rounds of voting until finally being approved by the Board.
Palomarez, has been battling accusations of sexual harassment and assault along with accusations of embezzlement of USHCC funds.
In addition to the most recent allegations of sexual assault and embezzlement, Palomarez has faced numerous other controversies during his tenure as president of the USHCC.
This weekend the New York Times published an article detailing the allegations of sexual harassment and assault he faces.
Palomarez recently admitted in a letter to the Board of Directors of the USHCC to an affair with Nina Vaca, Chair Emeritus of the USHCC and current Chair of the USHCC Foundation.
